Vision and Mission Statement
We believe our school and its educational programs should be customized to meet the unique needs and characteristics of the students we serve. Our belief statements are used as guiding principles in the development of program goals and policies for the education of our students.
Children in the primary grades are making the critical transition from home to school. Our school programs are specifically designed to address the developmental needs of the primary child and are characterized by the following:
Use of a variety of instructional methods in order to match each child's learning style
Academic challenges for each child
Community service
Student achievement and competence
Balanced instructional programs including the integration of technology and the arts
Respect and value of social, physical, intellectual, and cultural diversity
Parents and community members actively participating in classroom and school activities
Positive student relationships with both peers and adults.
Extracurricular events which support classroom learning
Clear and consistent expectations
In order to effectively foster this environment for our students we have developed a set of Operating Principles which govern how we as adults agree to treat one another.
